Landmark disability inclusion awards rebrand to celebrate real-world impact
A long-standing awards programme has been rebranded to highlight its focus on measurable progress in disability inclusion. The new name reflects a shift towards recognising real-world impact for disabled employees, customers, and service users. Nominations are now open, with entries closing on 21 January 2026. The awards, which are free to enter, welcome applications from UK and global organisations of any size. Fourteen categories will honour achievements in workplace accessibility, customer service, product design, and the built environment. A new technology award has also been introduced specifically for small businesses.
Among the accolades is a Lifetime Achievement Award, designed to recognise an individual’s sustained dedication to disability inclusion. Past winners have described the awards as transformative, noting how they opened doors to new partnerships and strengthened credibility. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in April 2026. Diane Lightfoot, CEO of Business Disability Forum, explained that the rebrand marks an evolution in how disability inclusion is recognised. The awards now place greater emphasis on practical initiatives that deliver tangible improvements.
The updated awards aim to showcase organisations and individuals driving meaningful change. Entries will be judged on their ability to create measurable impact in disability inclusion. The deadline for submissions remains set for 21 January 2026.
