Krishibid Group celebrates 25 years of agribusiness transformation in Bangladesh
Krishibid Group marked its 25th anniversary on Monday, reflecting on its growth from a modest poultry farm to a major industrial conglomerate. What began in 2001 with just Tk 30,000 has now expanded into a diversified agribusiness valued at nearly Tk 10,000 crore.
The group was founded in Bangladesh with a focus on seeds and agrochemicals. Over time, it built a nationwide distribution network and shifted toward hybrid seeds, fertilizers, and modern farming equipment. By 2025, it had also entered exports and formed international partnerships.
While competitors like ACI Agribusiness and PRAN-RFL Group expanded into food processing and exports to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, Krishibid prioritised domestic seed innovation and rural outreach. Its network has grown from five agriculturists to over 6,500 professionals and scientists.
The anniversary event took place at the Krishibid Group Auditorium. Chairman Md Tariq Hassan led the celebrations, with Managing Director Ali Afzal attending as the chief guest. During the event, the group outlined its long-term vision—a strategic plan stretching to 2100, aiming for a valuation of Tk 500,000 crore.
From a small poultry farm to a leading industrial name, Krishibid Group has steadily expanded its influence in agriculture and beyond. The company's focus now turns to its ambitious target: becoming the country's largest institution within the next eight decades.
