Krasnodar's youth entrepreneurship initiative marks five years of economic growth
Krasnodar has celebrated the fifth anniversary of its youth entrepreneurship initiative. Launched in 2021 under Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, the programme has trained over 12,500 participants in business skills. Officials gathered to highlight its achievements and impact on the local economy. The event brought together key figures, including Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Yury Burlachko and Deputy Governor Alexander Ruppel. Yelena Pistunova, head of the Krasnodar Krai Business Development Fund, also spoke at the ceremony.
Governor Kondratyev praised the programme’s success and thanked the instructors and mentors involved. He noted that it had helped turn ideas into viable businesses. Burlachko added that the initiative had met its main goal: fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs.
Since its start, around 2,000 graduates have launched their own companies, while another 3,500 have registered as self-employed. Together, they have contributed nearly 500 million rubles in taxes to regional and national budgets. The programme has also provided over 255 million rubles in low-interest loans to support these ventures. The anniversary event underscored the programme’s role in boosting local enterprise. With thousands of new businesses established, its economic contributions continue to grow. Officials have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding support for young entrepreneurs in the region.
