A major food production project has launched in Krasnodar Region after agreements were made at the 2023 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The high-tech facility, backed by over 2 billion rubles in investment, focuses on producing ready-to-eat meals from local ingredients. Regional authorities have provided support, including a 100 million ruble loan from the Krasnodar Industrial Development Fund. The project is a full-cycle enterprise, handling everything from raw material processing to packaging and distribution. It currently employs around 700 people and supplies products to federal retail chains, hotels, and delivery services across Krasnodar Region and the Southern Federal District. In April alone, the facility produced 1.5 million packages of ready-made meals, with a daily output capacity of up to 100 tons.
The company manufactures over 300 different food items. Anna Markovina, CEO of Unifood’s southern division, highlighted that the site includes its own quality control laboratory to ensure high standards. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev recently visited the production lines and packaging facility to review operations. The initiative strengthens local agriculture by keeping production and added value within Krasnodar Region. Its products are now available in major grocery chains and online retailers, expanding access to locally sourced ready meals. The project’s scale and regional backing signal a significant boost for the area’s food industry.
