KONEKT Rhein-Main fair returns with free networking and startup pitches
The 11th KONEKT Rhein-Main fair returns this Thursday under the motto The Future Doesn't Just Happen. The event, held at Mainz's Alte Lokhalle, is the region's leading networking and cooperation fair for small and medium-sized businesses. Entry is free, with 82 exhibitors and a full programme of talks, awards, and evening entertainment planned. The fair begins at 3:00 PM with an opening speech by Ludwig Holle, Mainz's newly appointed construction councillor for the CDU. Visitors can explore stands from major names like Lidl, Allianz, and the German Armed Forces, alongside local Rhine-Main companies.
At 5:30 PM, five startups will pitch their ideas in the second KONEKT Newcomer Award. The winner, chosen by a jury, will receive €2,000 from sponsor Drees & Sommer. The award ceremony follows at 6:45 PM. After the formal programme, a DJ and casual networking will run from 7:00 PM as part of the After-Work Party. KONEKT now operates in 13 regions across three German states—Hessen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Bavaria—with locations including Südwestfalen and Würzburg.
This year's fair brings together businesses, startups, and public sector representatives in a single event. With free admission, live pitches, and an evening of networking, organisers aim to foster new partnerships in the Rhine-Main region. The event runs until late at Alte Lokhalle.
