Jiu-Jitsu Champion Launches Sugar-Free Energy Drink with a Healthy Twist
A two-time European Jiu-Jitsu champion has launched his own energy drink. Wolfgang Scheifinger, from Blumau-Neurißhof, developed Hajime Energy with business partner Hans Ludwig Kailer. The drink is already being sold in parts of Austria and through international athlete networks.
The energy drink stands out for its health-focused ingredients. Made without sugar, it includes natural components like Asian lotus flower and Nashi pear. These are said to support the immune system and help maintain healthy blood pressure.
Currently, Hajime Energy is available in supermarkets across Baden, Wiener Neustadt, and northern Vienna. It is also distributed globally through connections in the Jiu-Jitsu community. However, sales figures for markets like North America, Spain, and France remain unclear, as the brand has not yet gained widespread recognition.
Scheifinger and Kailer face challenges alongside their growth plans. Recently, 5,000 cans were stolen from a warehouse in Wiener Neustadt. Despite this setback, the pair aim to expand distribution to more fitness centres and supermarket chains.
The drink's natural ingredients and athlete-backed promotion set it apart in the energy drink market. With plans for wider availability, Scheifinger and Kailer continue to push forward despite recent obstacles. Their focus remains on growing Hajime Energy both locally and internationally.
