iMPAKT Launches to Revolutionize Person-Centred Healthcare with Real-Time Feedback

A new digital platform called iMPAKT has launched to improve person-centred care in healthcare settings. Developed by Miroma Project Factory (MPF) in partnership with Ulster University, the tool focuses on simplicity, real-time feedback, and staff-led improvements. The project began as a research prototype before MPF transformed it into a commercial mobile app. Using its Honeycomb middleware, the company built a system that captures and analyses feedback from surveys, patient stories, and direct observations. The platform then helps teams act on this data to drive better care.

iMPAKT operates in six-week cycles, encouraging staff to reflect, adjust, and implement changes. Early results show it can speed up learning, support shared decision-making, and prompt quicker action in healthcare environments. The system also tracks eight key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvements for nurses, midwives, and patients. The tool is already in use at seven international sites, including Sydney's Prince of Wales Hospital. Kat Robinson, CEO of MPF, described iMPAKT as a way to restore dignity in care by giving frontline staff the power to lead cultural change. Its design keeps reflection and accountability at the bedside, where decisions matter most. Recent funding from the Public Health Agency's HSC R&D Division will support further development. The Enabling Research Award ensures the platform can expand its reach and refine its features.

iMPAKT aims to make person-centred care more measurable and actionable. With its structured feedback loops and focus on staff empowerment, the platform is now being tested across multiple healthcare providers. The next phase will see wider adoption and continued refinement based on real-world use.
