Immutable Launches Two Major Web3 Games Amid Token Slump and Upgrade Plans

February 2026 has marked a busy period for Immutable, a blockchain platform designed for NFTs and Web3 gaming. Two major game releases—emoji™ Marble Dash and Might & Magic Fates—have launched on its zkEVM network. Meanwhile, the company is preparing for a significant technical upgrade called the Immutable Chain Merge, set to begin later this month.

The first of the new releases, emoji™ Marble Dash, debuted its playable demo on February 2, 2026. Developed by Crypto Blockchain Industries in Paris, the game will receive full support on Immutable's zkEVM chain. Just two days later, Ubisoft and Immutable launched Might & Magic Fates worldwide, bringing a well-known franchise into the Web3 space.

Immutable's technology addresses key issues in blockchain gaming. As a Layer 2 solution on Ethereum, it offers gas-free NFT minting and trading while processing over 9,000 transactions per second. This solves Ethereum's problems of high fees and slow speeds, making it more practical for gaming applications.

Despite these advancements, Immutable's native token, IMX, has struggled in recent months. Currently trading near $0.151, it remains in a strong downward trend since late 2025. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 24, signalling oversold conditions, but no clear reversal has yet occurred. The token's market cap stands at around $326 million, with a 24-hour trading volume of $21.8 million.

Looking ahead, Immutable plans to migrate all user funds to its new zkEVM chain starting February 25, 2026. The company has set ambitious long-term goals, aiming to become the dominant platform for NFT and blockchain gaming by 2030. If adoption grows, analysts suggest IMX could reach $1.05 by the end of 2026—or even surpass $11 in the coming years.

The launch of two high-profile games and the upcoming Chain Merge highlight Immutable's push to expand its role in Web3 gaming. The platform's ability to handle thousands of transactions per second provides a clear advantage over Ethereum's limitations. However, the token's current bearish trend suggests that market recovery will depend on broader adoption of blockchain gaming and NFTs.
