How one entrepreneur juggles three companies, a football club and fitness

A business leader with a busy schedule manages three growing companies under SK4 Holdings. The portfolio includes LSC, the UK’s largest provider of school childcare, alongside newer ventures in nurseries and dental care. Despite the demands, they also own a non-league football club and maintain a strict fitness routine. The entrepreneur’s working week begins early, with emails checked from 8am each day. Mondays are often packed—recently, a full day was spent interviewing candidates for a head of marketing role at Nurtured Childcare. This company, launched in 2021, now runs 12 nurseries across northern England.

Wednesdays are reserved for senior leadership meetings, covering all three businesses. Beyond LSC, which was founded 20 years ago, the group includes Smile Society, a private dental chain with four practices since its 2025 launch. Leadership development remains a priority, with active involvement in shaping teams across each venture. Outside work, fitness plays a key role. Gym sessions take place three mornings a week, alongside running, cycling, and a daily 10,000-step target. Evenings and weekends also involve overseeing Cheadle Town FC, a non-league club competing in both men’s and women’s divisions.

The schedule balances corporate leadership, recruitment, and personal health. With three expanding businesses and a football club to run, the routine reflects a mix of strategic planning and hands-on management. Each venture continues to grow under the same holding company, SK4 Holdings.
