How bureaucracy delayed a heating startup's launch by months
Two entrepreneurs launched HS Heating Solutions in the summer of 2022. The company specialises in modern heating systems, with a strong focus on heat pumps. However, setting up the business proved more difficult than expected due to lengthy administrative delays. Yannick Hartmann and Dominik Stasch founded the firm with a clear goal: to simplify heating installations for customers. But before they could start trading, they needed official registration. Without a commercial register number, they were unable to buy supplies from wholesalers.
The process took two months before they finally received their tax ID and registration. This delay left the founders frustrated, as they had planned to begin operations much sooner. Now, they are pushing to reduce bureaucracy for other startups facing similar hurdles.
HS Heating Solutions is now fully registered and operational. The company can finally purchase materials and serve clients in the heating sector. The founders hope their experience will highlight the need for faster business registration processes.
