Hilti Group's 2025 results reveal regional growth amid revenue dip

Hilti Group reported its 2025 financial results, showing a mixed performance across global markets. The company's total revenue dipped slightly to CHF 6.3 billion, down 2.1 percent from the previous year. Despite challenges in some regions, growth in the Americas and software services provided positive highlights. The company's operating profit dropped by 5.3 percent to CHF 728 million. This decline was attributed to heavy investment and unfavourable currency effects. Research and development spending reached CHF 459 million, supporting the launch of over 70 new products and services during the year.

Revenue trends varied by region. The Americas saw a strong 9.3 percent increase in local currencies, with the U.S. market leading in double-digit growth. Meanwhile, Asia-Pacific revenue fell by 2.1 percent, largely due to difficulties in North Asia. Europe also experienced a 1.9 percent decline, reflecting weak construction activity. On a brighter note, the Middle East and Africa region grew by 12.9 percent in local currencies, boosted by rising construction in the Middle East. The software business performed particularly well, with recurring annual revenue climbing by 28.0 percent. By the end of 2025, the customer base for software solutions exceeded 25,000. Employee numbers rose slightly, reaching 34,420—a net increase of 67 compared to 2024. Looking ahead, the company expects low single-digit revenue growth in local currencies for 2026.

Hilti Group's 2025 results reflect a year of regional contrasts and strategic investment. While some markets faced declines, growth in the Americas, the Middle East, and software services helped offset losses. The company remains focused on innovation and expansion as it prepares for modest growth in 2026.
