Hensoldt lands €500M in defence deals amid surging stock growth

Defence technology firm Hensoldt has secured over €500 million in new contracts within a single week. The deals include major agreements with European allies and a leading armoured vehicle manufacturer. Despite recent share price fluctuations, the company's stock has surged by more than 116% over the past year.

On February 9, 2026, Hensoldt became a member of the TUM Security and Defense Alliance. The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in defence research and innovation.

Shortly after, the company finalised a €100 million contract under the European Sky Shield Initiative (ESSI). The agreement will supply TRML-4D high-performance radars to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Hungary. These systems are designed to enhance air defence capabilities across the region.

The largest deal, valued at over €400 million, was signed with KNDS for digital optronics. The technology will equip the Schakal wheeled armoured vehicle and the Leopard 2 A8 main battle tank. This contract marks one of Hensoldt's most significant orders in recent years.

Investors have seen mixed signals from the company's stock performance. While shares currently trade at €78.60—30% below their 52-week high—they have still more than doubled in value over the past 12 months. The company plans to release its preliminary 2025 financial results on February 26, 2026.

Hensoldt's recent contracts reinforce its position as a key supplier in European defence projects. The deals span advanced radar systems, armoured vehicle upgrades, and strategic research partnerships. With financial results due later this month, the company's growth trajectory remains a focal point for investors and industry observers.
