Groww Launches Two New Passive Funds Targeting India's Booming Hospital Sector

Groww Mutual Fund has introduced two new passive investment schemes focused on India's hospital sector. The funds, named Groww BSE Hospitals ETF and Groww BSE Hospitals ETF FoF, aim to give investors structured access to the country's expanding hospital industry. Both schemes track the BSE Hospitals Index, which represents the organised hospital segment of the market.

The Groww BSE Hospitals ETF is an open-ended exchange-traded fund that follows the BSE Hospitals Index TRI. This index was specifically developed to monitor the performance of listed hospital companies within India's broader healthcare sector. Hospitals make up nearly three-fourths of the nation's healthcare industry and are projected to grow further in the coming years.

The second scheme, Groww BSE Hospitals ETF FoF, operates as an open-ended fund of fund that invests in units of the Groww BSE Hospitals ETF. Both funds allow investors to gain exposure to the hospital sector through a transparent, passive investment approach.

The new fund offer (NFO) for these schemes is currently open and will remain available for subscription until February 25. While the BSE Hospitals Index includes companies from the BSE 1000 universe, the exact number of firms overlapping with India's Top-500 companies by market capitalisation is not publicly disclosed.

These new schemes provide a way for investors to participate in India's hospital sector, which remains the largest segment of the country's healthcare ecosystem. With the NFO open until February 25, interested parties can subscribe to either the Groww BSE Hospitals ETF or the Groww BSE Hospitals ETF FoF to gain exposure to this growing industry.
