GoMining's GoBTC launches free Bitcoin payments with near-zero fees for merchants

GoMining has launched GoBTC, a new Bitcoin payment system for instant and free peer-to-peer transactions. The protocol aims to make Bitcoin more practical for everyday purchases while offering lower fees than traditional card payments. At the same time, the company is expanding its US operations, targeting 1 GW of computing power by 2026 for Bitcoin mining and AI workloads combined. GoBTC works as an open payment infrastructure, allowing any wallet provider to integrate the system. Merchants using the protocol pay a 0.2% acquiring fee—far below standard card processing costs. A share of these fees then returns to ‘digital miners’ as extra Bitcoin yield.

The protocol uses a 2-of-3 multi-signature setup, splitting control between the user, GoMining, and a regulated third-party custodian. This design ensures security while keeping transactions fast and free for users. GoMining, which already serves 5 million users globally, operates the reference implementation of GoBTC.

Looking ahead, the company plans to reduce on-chain settlement times to 12 hours by the end of 2026. Alongside this, its US expansion will focus on scaling compute capacity to 1 GW, supporting both Bitcoin mining and AI processing. GoBTC provides merchants with a Bitcoin-native payment network at a fraction of traditional costs. The system also rewards participants by redistributing fees within the ecosystem. With faster settlement targets and growing infrastructure, GoMining is positioning itself as a key player in both Bitcoin payments and large-scale computing.
