FuturePay and Paysafe Team Up to Expand Latin American Payment Options
FuturePay has partnered with Paysafe to broaden its services across Latin America. This collaboration will grant FuturePay's merchants access to local payment options, aiding them in reaching more customers in the region. Both companies aim to streamline checkout processes and boost sales for businesses operating in the area.
FuturePay has integrated Paysafe's SafetyPay solution, a leading network for alternative and local payment methods in Latin America. This move enables FuturePay's merchants to offer popular payment options, including bank transfers, online cash, and country-specific methods like Pix in Brazil.
Bank transfers remain a preferred payment choice in the region, with around 42% of consumers lacking credit cards. SafetyPay's eCash solution allows customers to initiate payments online and complete them in cash at physical collection points, reducing barriers at checkout.
The partnership covers 11 countries by 2026, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. Local payment methods like Boleto Bancário and PIX in Brazil, OXXO in Mexico, and Baloto in Colombia will also be available through the integration.
Allen Cai, CEO of FuturePay Global Limited, deemed the collaboration a key step in the company's Latin American growth. Esteban Sarubbi, Head of Latin America at Paysafe, welcomed the opportunity to support FuturePay's market entry, emphasizing the benefits of expanded payment flexibility for merchants.
The agreement between FuturePay and Paysafe will provide merchants with more ways to accept online payments across Latin America. By offering familiar local methods, the partnership seeks to enhance customer checkout experiences and drive business growth in the region.
