The feature works by analysing photos taken with a smartphone or camera. Computer vision generates structured descriptions that meet international customs rules. No registration is needed, making the process quick and accessible.

Currently, the tool is live in eight countries: Germany, Canada, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates. DHL Express plans to expand it worldwide in stages throughout 2026. The company sees accurate shipment descriptions as key to a smooth customer experience. By automating this step, the system aims to cut delays and reduce errors in customs declarations.
