Deel's New Payroll Feature Cuts Admin Work for UK Businesses

Deel Local Payroll has introduced a new feature for UK businesses that simplifies how companies pay their employees. The embedded payroll payments system allows managers to process salaries directly from the platform in one step. This removes the need for separate payment files or external transfers. The new system works through Open Banking bank transfers, making payments faster and more secure. It eliminates manual data entry errors and reduces the risk of incorrect beneficiary details. Payroll teams can now track payment statuses in real time without switching between different systems.

Embedded payroll payments also support bulk salary processing, flexible scheduling, and secure bank authentication. Each batch can handle up to 500 transactions, while larger customers can still use traditional bank file exports if needed. The feature is powered by Crezco, a UK-based payments provider regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. For now, the service is only available to Deel Local Payroll customers in the UK. Businesses in Ireland cannot yet access the embedded payments option.

The update gives UK employers clearer visibility over outgoing salary payments while cutting down on manual admin. It also lowers the chances of late or incorrect payments by keeping everything within one platform. The feature is live now for eligible customers.
