Davaso rebrands as IQVIA Health System Services after 2021 acquisition
Davaso, a German healthcare services provider, will now operate under the name IQVIA Health System Services (IQVIA HSS). The rebranding follows its acquisition by U.S. data giant IQVIA in 2021. The change aligns the company's identity with its parent group while maintaining existing operations.
Davaso was originally formed in 2017 through the merger of two firms, Inter-Forum and Syntela. Both had been acquired by the Brenninkmeijer family—known for their Montagu private equity arm—between late 2015 and early 2016. Montagu, via a Luxembourg holding, took a 90% stake in Davaso before selling it to IQVIA four years later.
The company's name was an acronym for Data, Validation, and Software/Solutions. Its core services included verifying invoices for healthcare providers, which made up 62% of its €112 million annual revenue. Disease management programmes contributed another 8%, while prescription audits accounted for less than 2%.
Under the new IQVIA HSS brand, all existing contracts will remain valid. Points of contact and internal processes will stay unchanged, as will the legal framework, data protection rules, and security standards previously in place.
The rebranding to IQVIA HSS reflects the company's integration into the global IQVIA Group. It also reinforces its role as a trusted partner within Germany's healthcare system. Prescription audits, previously handled by Davaso, will now be managed directly under the IQVIA name.
