Coverflow Raises $4.8M to Revolutionize Insurance Broker Workflows with AI
Coverflow, a San Francisco-based AI platform for insurance brokers, has secured $4.8 million in Seed funding. The company was launched in 2024 by Matthew Fastow and Akash Samant to automate manual tasks in the insurance industry.
The funding round was led by AIX Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm specialising in AI-first startups. Founder Collective and Afore Capital also contributed to the investment. AIX Ventures, founded in 2020, focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage companies but has not disclosed how many AI startups it has backed so far.
Coverflow's platform uses AI to streamline broker workflows. It processes unstructured policy documents, compares quotes, flags discrepancies, generates client proposals, and updates agency management systems. The new funds will help the company grow its team and develop more AI-powered tools for brokers.
The $4.8 million investment will support Coverflow's expansion and product development. The platform aims to reduce time-consuming tasks for brokers by automating key processes. The company's next steps include scaling its operations and enhancing its AI capabilities.
