Capital.com Enables MCP Server Plugin, Giving Traders Real-Time Account Access From Within Their AI Research Environments

Capital.com Unveils AI-Powered Trading Plugin for Seamless Market Access

Capital.com has launched an MCP Server plugin to connect its trading platform with AI assistants. The tool is free, open-source, and designed to run locally on a user’s device. It allows clients to access live market data and trade directly from their AI assistant environment. The plugin links a trader’s Capital.com account to their chosen AI assistant, such as Codex, Claude Desktop, or Cursor. It provides real-time market data, open positions, portfolio exposure, historical prices, and aggregated client sentiment within the research environment.

Clients can test all MCP features in a demo environment before switching to a live account. Trades can be placed directly through the AI assistant, but a two-step preview and confirmation process is required before execution.

Capital.com does not control the AI environments the plugin works with. The tool itself does not make or suggest trading decisions, nor does it reduce the risks involved in CFD trading.

Tarik Chebib, CEO for MENA at Capital.com, noted that the plugin increases the information available to clients before they make a decision, all within a regulated framework. Sasha Gubochkin, the company’s Chief Product Officer, added that the integration aims to create a smoother transition from research to action. The MCP Server plugin is now available for clients to use. It enhances the trading experience by integrating key data and functionality into AI assistants. The tool operates independently on the user’s device and does not influence trading risks.
