Bayer modernizes global payments with Broadridge Swift migration

Bayer AG has completed its migration to the Broadridge Swift Service Bureau (SSB). The move modernises the company’s global payment infrastructure while ensuring compliance with the latest financial messaging standards. This upgrade supports Bayer’s extensive transaction network and strengthens security across its international operations. The project began with Bayer’s need for a solution capable of handling complex system integration, rigorous validation, and high transaction volumes. The company also required readiness for ISO 20022, the latest global messaging standard. Broadridge delivered a secure, scalable platform that met Swift SCORE+ performance requirements.

The migration unfolded in two phases. The first phase focused on core integration, while the second incorporated Swift’s Transaction Screening Service (TSS). Throughout the process, Bayer conducted message exchange testing with over 20 of its banking partners to ensure seamless communication.

A collaborative agile approach allowed for rapid iteration and close coordination between Bayer and Broadridge. This model helped address challenges efficiently and kept the project on track for a successful rollout. The completed migration now enables Bayer to process 4 million annual transactions across more than 80 banking partners. The new system provides a modernised, scalable Swift messaging and connectivity framework. This ensures secure, standardised financial messaging for Bayer’s global operations.
