Avito Rabota's real-time tool exposes Russia's shifting labor market gaps
Avito Rabota has introduced a new tool to track Russia’s labour market in real time. The platform now monitors supply and demand, wage shifts, and sector-specific trends. The move comes as employers struggle with uneven staff shortages across regions and professions.
The data reveals a sharp rise in job seekers’ salary expectations—up 17% from last year. Meanwhile, the number of résumés posted on the site has surged by 49% over the same period. The monitoring tool splits its insights into two broad categories: office-based roles and blue-collar, frontline, transport, and taxi positions. Blue-collar and frontline jobs currently dominate postings on Avito Rabota. Some manual and high-demand roles have seen explosive growth in vacancies, including industrial climbers (+141%), MEP fitters (+130%), and pickup point operators (+99%). Mechanics and service advisors also rank among the fastest-growing, with increases of 98% and 96% respectively.
While certain regions and professions still show balanced supply and demand, others face acute shortages of qualified workers. Anton Uvarov, Managing Director of Avito Rabota, stressed that real-time market data helps employers refine job terms and attract candidates more effectively. He noted that companies must adapt their offers—covering pay, benefits, and working conditions—to remain competitive for top talent. The tool aims to give employers clearer visibility into labour market shifts. With salary expectations climbing and vacancies in key sectors expanding rapidly, businesses now have more data to adjust hiring strategies. The platform’s findings highlight the need for targeted recruitment efforts in areas where shortages are most severe.
