ARC Blockchain Launches in 2026 to Revolutionize Stablecoin Transactions
A new blockchain platform called ARC is set to launch in summer 2026. Designed for stablecoin transactions, it promises faster settlements and reduced volatility risks. Major financial firms have already backed the project with a $222 million investment at a $3 billion valuation. ARC focuses on stablecoin-native economics to avoid price swings. It uses USDC as the main gas asset, ensuring predictable transaction costs. The system also supports 24/7 atomic settlements, meaning payments clear instantly without delays.
The blockchain runs on Malachite consensus and Reth execution, enabling sub-second finality. This speed is critical for financial institutions needing rapid confirmations. Over 244 million testnet transactions have already been processed, signalling early adoption by banks and asset managers. Regulated financial entities operate as permissioned validators, maintaining security and compliance. The platform’s design allows for large-scale programmable coordination, making it easier to automate complex financial workflows. Backers include BlackRock, Apollo Funds, a16z crypto, ARK Invest, and ICE, all of which participated in the recent funding round.
ARC’s mainnet beta will go live in summer 2026. The platform aims to streamline stablecoin settlements for institutions while minimising volatility. With strong financial backing and high transaction volumes in testing, it is positioned for widespread use in regulated markets.
