AlphaPepe's presale surges as Dogecoin's long decline continues

A new meme coin called AlphaPepe is drawing attention with its presale and ambitious price targets. The project's team includes the same engineer behind SHIB's burn mechanism and ShibaSwap. Meanwhile, Dogecoin (DOGE) continues its long-term decline, now trading 86% below its 2021 peak.

AlphaPepe's presale is structured to increase in price every few days, with no rollbacks. The current token price sits at $0.00790, giving the project a fully diluted market cap under $8 million. If the token reaches its $0.05 target, early buyers would see a 6.3x return. A longer-term goal of $0.79 implies a 100x gain, pushing the market cap toward $800 million. For comparison, Shiba Inu once reached trillions in market value, though AlphaPepe remains in its early stages.

The project's development team includes the anonymous lead architect of ShibaSwap and a contributor to Shibarium. This same engineer designed AlphaPepe's decentralised exchange (DEX), staking system, and token burn mechanism. Daily interest is growing, with over 100 new holders joining the presale each day. Dogecoin, on the other hand, faces a prolonged downturn. After hitting an all-time high of $0.73 in May 2021, it now trades at $0.10—an 86% drop. The 200-day moving average has fallen steadily since February 2026, and trading volumes shrank sharply this week. Analysts expect DOGE to stay between $0.094 and $0.13 for the rest of the year.

AlphaPepe's presale continues to attract buyers, with its price rising incrementally and new holders joining daily. A $10,000 investment at the current price could exceed $1,000,000 if the token reaches $0.79. Meanwhile, Dogecoin remains far below its peak, with little sign of a near-term recovery.
