Adesso SE joins Open Logistics Foundation to advance open-source solutions
Adesso SE has officially joined the Open Logistics Foundation. The move expands the company’s role in developing open-source solutions for the logistics sector. Its expertise in scalable and interoperable IT systems will now support the foundation’s community-driven projects. The Open Logistics Foundation focuses on creating open standards using open-source code. Its projects cover digital consignment notes, track-and-trace processes, and emissions data exchange. The foundation recently released its first industry-ready open-source solution for digital consignment notes (eCMR).
Adesso will act as a solution provider and implementation partner for applications developed within the foundation. The company will help businesses integrate these tools into their existing IT systems and adapt them to specific needs. Andreas Prenneis, a member of Adesso’s executive board, confirmed that open source is a core strategic principle for the firm.
With over 11,300 employees across more than 65 global locations, Adesso aims to make open-source logistics solutions more widely accessible to companies in the sector. The partnership will allow Adesso to contribute its technical experience to the foundation’s work. Businesses in logistics can now expect easier access to open-source tools for digital documentation and data exchange. The collaboration strengthens the foundation’s ability to deliver practical, industry-ready solutions.
