Abony Acquisition Corp. I Raises $230 Million in Nasdaq IPO Debut
Abony Acquisition Corp. I (AACOU) has completed its initial public offering (IPO) on Nasdaq. The company raised $230 million by selling 23 million units at $10 each. Trading under the ticker symbol 'AACOU' began on February 19, 2026.
The IPO included an over-allotment option of 3 million units, which was fully exercised. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of a redeemable warrant. Concurrently, AACOU closed a private placement of 695,000 units, priced at $10 per unit, raising an additional $6.95 million.
Two major investors participated in the private placement: Abony Sponsor I LLC purchased 465,000 units, while BTIG, LLC acquired 230,000 units. BTIG also served as the sole book-running manager for the offering. The net proceeds from both the IPO and private placement will fund AACOU's initial business combination and working capital.
AACOU operates as a blank check company, targeting potential mergers with firms valued between $750 million and $1.5 billion or more. As of February 20, 2026, it has not publicly named any specific target companies in defense technology, high-performance computing, software, or media. The $230 million raised in the IPO has been placed in trust.
The funds from the IPO and private placement will support AACOU's search for a suitable business combination. The company's units are now trading on Nasdaq under 'AACOU'. No target acquisitions have been announced so far in its focus sectors.
